Rapid Launches My30 Monthly Packages Pass to Penang & Kuantan With Unlimited Rides of RM30 per month
The government has previously implemented the My30 public transport monthly pass in Klang Valley, and it only costs RM 30 per month to allow unlimited rides on the public transport system. Now, this system policy will be available to Penang and Kuantan!
National Infrastructure Corporation announced that starting from January 1, 2021, monthly passes for Pas Mutiara My30 and Pas Lestari My30 will be launched, allowing locals to take unlimited rides on local Rapid Penang or Rapid Kuantan services at a monthly fee of RM 30.
For example, if the public purchases the Pas Mutiara My30 package, they can take the Penang Express Bus unlimitedly within 30 days, but this fee does not include the ferry service, because the ferry will no longer be managed by the company from January 1, 2021.
When purchasing this monthly pass for the first time, the charge is RM40, of which RM5 is the registration fee and RM5 is the recharge fee, and then it is only RM30 when buying the monthly pass again. However, do note that the pass purchase might only be used on the designated town or city only as we couldn’t find out any source available that if you are a KL Rapid My30 subscriber and you can enjoy the usage of this card at Rapid Penang or Rapid Kuantan.
