Ismail Sabri: All Public and Private Sector Workers in Management, Supervisory Level To Work From Home
On the latest decision which was announced during a press conference today 20 October, Ismail Sabri has mentioned that due to the workers from the red zone are being forced to show up at work, therefore, all workers in the public and private sector, involving management and supervisor level are required to work from home. This is an order in order to ensure this COVID-19 doesn’t continue to spike up.
This announcement will somehow affect roughly one million employees throughout the areas under the CMCO! However, some staff is still allowed to work from the office such as the finance department. Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) will issue a statement on which industries will be affected by this order soon.
Ismail Sabri also mentioned that those who are working from the office must undergo a swab test and the Social Security Organisation will cover the cost of the swab test for Malaysian and foreign workers which should be free.
