Good news as KTM is Giving Away the KTM Link Card
If you’re a rider of KTM then you might already know that the The KTM Komuter Service will implement cashless transactions at all its stations in the Klang Valley starting Sept 10.
What you might not know that aside from Touch ‘n Go and MyKad card, there would also be introduction of Komuter link card as well
As according to the FMT, KTMB General Manager (Procurement) Mohd Hider Yusoff said for a start, the cashless fare payment would be made compulsory to adult passengers and students. Mohd Hider said over 85 per cent of KTM Komuter users had been making cashless transaction for their journey while the rest were still using tokens.
Another good news is that Mohd Hider said they had also started distributing for free over a million Komuter Link (adult) and Concession cards since July 2017 in preparation for the transition.
“A total of 30,000 Komuter Link cards will be distributed for free from Sept 10 to 16. After that date, the card will be sold at RM5 each (without top-up) at the ticket counter, ticketing machine and by our mobile team at KTM Komuter stations,” he explained.
Take note that with the cashless transaction, rider will be enjoying cheaper fares of up to 20% and more importantly is that they will saving time queueing up at the counter or at the ticket machine to pay fares.
Not a bad idea from KTM introducing this new cashless and giving free Komuter Link card!
