COVID-19: Greece Re-Entering Emergency National Lockdown Again Starting Saturday
On earlier news, we notice that the United Kingdom has to enter into an emergency National Lockdown due to the pandemic while coming this Saturday, Greece is ordered to lock down starting this Thursday for 3 weeks time to contain the COVID-19 from resurging again. Their Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announce this as drastic measures sooner rather than regretting it later.
This nationwide lockdown was the last option as the spike case for the past 5 days straight. Where this lockdown will take effect starting this Saturday, where all retail businesses will be shut with exception of supermarkets and pharmacies. Plus, in order to venture outdoor, all citizens must require a permit, however, the primary school will stay open while high school will be shut down.
The earlier lockdown which was in February, which now since early October the infection has increased dramatically in Greece after another country such as European France and Britain has begun 2nd phase of new lockdown too due to drastically increase of COVID-19 cases.
Greece recorded the highest infection of 2,645 infections on Wednesday alone. Bringing the case up to 46,892. So far, 673 people have died of Covid-19.
Perhaps we here in Malaysia also need to be aware of these and really stop going outside much, somehow feels like the sign of the whole world will SPIKE up again as our country is recording a high average of 1000 new infection daily, while in the past a lot of people are circulating rumors about China COVID-19, however, it seems the table has turned around now where CHINA has no records of any COVID-19 spiked up cases. Perhaps China did have a hidden cure which they are keeping it a secret after being bashed by a lot of other countries during the earlier COVID-19 first-spread.
