Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka Announce the Correct Spelling for Kuey Teow But M’sian Don’t seem to Care Much
Malaysian who are loving food a lot and will know there are multicultural race and different languages’ combination when it comes to our local food. And with the latest announcement of the famous plate of kuey teow especially the one from Penang which are the delicious fried Kuey teow or the local Malay version of Kuey Teow Basah. However, Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka (DBP) has decided to give the flat rice noodles a new spelling and we kindya doubt that will be something we care much.
In the Facebook post from DBP, they announced the new spelling for the noodles is kuetiau. As according to DBP, this new spelling was provided to standardise the name of the dish. So what do you think? lol! This might even make another new word for this noodle in future.
