Student Reveals Staying In Hotel for 6 Months Is Actually Cheaper than Renting a Room In JB
A student in Johor Bahru recently went viral after she shared her experience of staying in a hotel throughout her internship where she has been staying in a hotel for 6 months. On 28 February, Nurfateha Balqis posted a video on TikTok and wrote that she has been staying at Tune Hotel located in Danga Bay for six month and the cost was actually cheaper than renting a typical room.

She said that she coincidentally passed by her office, she saw a hotel and she immediately asked if they could accommodate long stays, she and her father even asked for another hotel and the price of them reached around thousands of ringgits however when she asked on the Tune Hotel, it turns out to be cheaper and because this hotel is so close to her office, she was also able to walk to work every day and saved a lot on her transportation money.
After her video went viral, people asked her to reveal the price of the hotel room which suprised everyone where it only cost RM17.72 a day and she only paid RM550 per month which the room came with television, a water heater, WIFI connection as well as housekeeping services. Many people were impress by the idea and agreed that it might worthwhile renting a hotel compare to a room during these pandemic period.
