Starting 5 Mar, No More States Under MCO and Interdistrict Travel is Permitted Except Sabah
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that no more states will be under the Movement Control Order (MCO) where during the press conference today, 2 March. Penang Selangor, Johor and Kuala Lumpur will be under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) starting 5 March, while Kedah, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak, and Perak remain under the CMCO while Melaka, Pahang, Terengganu, Sabah, Putrajaya, Labuan, and Perlis will be under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).Movement Control Order (MCO) to be lifted for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Penang. The four states will move into Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) from March 5 to 18.
The interdistrict travel ban has been lifted nationwide except for in Sabah
However, the minister stressed that the ruling will only come into effect starting 5 March and interstate travel is still prohibited.
Other than this, all businesses will be allowed to operate from 6am to 12am nationwide. And from 11 March onwards, individuals who violate COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) enforced by the government can be fined up to RM10,000 too. So take note guys!~
