The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) announced that they will be using drones to monitor standard operating procedures (SOP) and check if Malaysians are following the compliance in residential areas during Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Meanwhile, in high rise residential areas, the police will check if the visitors have logged in at the premises.
MV Sri Kumar also urged the public to report any SOP violation during Hari Raya festivities that happen in their residential areas to the police. Cemetery visits are also not allowed during Aidilfitri, as previously announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday, 10 May, after chairing a special National Security Council (MKN) COVID-19 Management meeting. This ruling is effective throughout the MCO from 12 May until 7 June.
