Those who are looking to travel up to Penang Hill might have to take note of the funicular train notice which will be shut down from 19th to 28 April. This 9 days, there will be no train service up to Penang Hill, this closure is for the Penang Hill Upper Station refurbishment works.
However, if you are still looking to reach the top of Penang Hill you can opt for the privately operated jeep service from Penang Botanic Gardens or the existing hiking routes.
