MCO: Around 100,000 SME has PUT out of Business During this Pandemic Period
According to the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Association of Malaysia, President Datuk Michael Kang mentioned that there is a statistic showing around 100,000 small and medium enterprises (SME) has closed down since the beginning of MCO in March. Where a total of 32, 469 SME has wound up between March and September.
In August alone, some 17,800 SME has ended their operation and Kang told the China Press that the figures provided by the minister were official statistics whole unofficial number might be much higher as many SMS has some loose end to close up their business before submitting a document to CCM. And a random survey of 1,700 SME showed that 20% of these entrepreneurs intend to cease operation at the end of September earlier.
