9 Woman Fined Rm1,000 each For Not the Following SOP On Practising Yoga Together
The Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin @ Hilmi mentioned that the police has raided a house in Desa Sri Hartamas at 8.30 am yesterday on 10th November after receiving complaints from the public regarding a group of woman who breached the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and participated in a yoga class of 8 local women including the organizer as well as a woman from the UK who is also a participant in the yoga class which aged between 37 – 60 years old.
Each of the participants was then taken to Sri Hartamas Police Station and face a fine of RM1,000 compound each. Thus, as a result, the 37-year-old organizer who is also the caretaker of the property will be investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for preventing civil servants from carrying out their duties, where ff convicted, she may face imprisonment of up to two years, an RM10,000 fine, or both.
