But the 4th ranking is just Asia but Malaysian passport isn’t doing bad in the world ranking where we are placed 12th ranking in the world as per the ranking on The Henley Passport Index
How was this ranking being measured?
The Henley Passport Index is formulated based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It’s being measured by the country that’s allowed to travel. For our passport, the holders can travel to 166 countries visa-free.
Compared Malaysia with our neighbouring country Singapore, we are slightly behind them. Singapore is 2nd where they are allowed to travel to 176 countries visa free. In Asia, only Singapore, Japan (3rd ranking with 175 countries) and South Korea (5th with 173 countries) are in front of us.
