Malaysia Set Target to Achieve 3.5 Million Doses of Covid-19 Vaccines This Month With 2 Doses Each for one person

Our government will set to receive 3.52 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine from three vaccine suppliers which are Pfizer, BioNtech, Sinovac and AstraZeneca this month with more to come in the upcoming months in order to speed up the vaccination process. The Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said that each person will get a total of two doses which means 1.7 million Malaysian will be vaccinated from the stock.

According to Dr Adham he said that they have applied to the government within seven days to list all recipients under their charge apart from requiring their own doctors for the vaccination and so far Dr Adham also tweeted that 632,666 individuals have completed two doses of vaccine under the national immunization program as of May 5 while 9,848,371 individuals have registered for vaccine shots with Selangor being the highest registration state with 2,528,707 individuals.

The first phase of vaccination began in February involving 500,000 front liners including medical personnel while the second phase will begin in April to August which involved another 9.4million senior citizens, vulnerable groups, and people with disabilities.
