Kepong MP Offers To Pay Student’s RM1000 Fine For Not Wearing Mask Properly

On Aug 8, a video of a university student getting slapped of rm1,000 after didn’t wear his face mask properly. The video which circulated wildly and netizen is enraging after this incident of the poor student where netizen mentioned it is unfair for the student while those richer people on top didn’t get the harsh punishment at all.

As the video went viral, even Syed Saddiq also questioned the authorities about why the double standards apply to different people on different statuses. In a Facebook post by Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, he has expressed sympathy on behalf of his party and they have offered to pay the fine for the student instead.
