Ipoh Woman Fined After Breaking Quarantine Order With Jail 1 Day and Fine RM8,000
Another woman from Ipoh, who recently has broken the sop of quarantine order to be staying at home with a pink wristband is now ordered to be jailed for 1 day and fined rm8,000 at the Ipoh Magistrate’s Court today (14 August).
Nur Emah Mohamad Hashim (72) pleaded guilty after the charge was read out in court before Magistrate Nabihah Mohd Noor. She was charged under Section 22(b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act which carries a jail term of not more than two years or a fine, or both, upon conviction.
Netizen, of course, expressed their sentiments about the issue but we have to understand that people are kept in quarantine because the infection risk of this Covid-19 matter is very serious. Selfish people never think of others and their love one so perhaps this punishment is worth to make ways to other Malaysian and be aware of how serious the authority is taking these matter nowadays.
