If You Are Innocent Due to Wrong Fined Due To Not Wearing A Mask, You Can Get A Refund
In a press briefing on 3 Aug, the Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the police will revoke fines issued to Malaysians who failed to wear a mask in their car.
This is due to after a lot of complaints which has been circulating on uncertain rumours regarding mask should be wear when in a private vehicle or even families member getting fined for not wearing a mask while inside own private car.
With the much clearer view on mask-wearing mandatory now, face mask are only mandatory in all crowded public places since the first of the months. Today, the Ministry of Defence listed the exact locations you will be expected to wear a mask:
– Public transport including buses, taxis, e-hailing services, light rail transport (LRT), and Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) commuters.
– Crowded public places including farmers’ markets, night markets, and morning markets.
– Tourist attractions including cinemas.
You are not required to wear a mask when at home, in a private vehicle, or when exercising. Children under two years old are also not required to wear face masks.
So to all Malaysian, relax ye and be sure on your own rights on your own SOP!~ Don’t panic and go havoc mode active. Show them the MINDEF Malaysia announcement ye if the thing becomes unsure with authorities.
