Ministry announced that barber shops, hair salons and eyewear shops are not allowed to operate!
Our Senior Ministry (Defense) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that after listening to opinions from various parties, including non-governmental organizations and relevant experts, Malaysia Government decided not to allow barber shops, hair salon and eyewear shops to operate.
Prime Minister of Malaysia announced the extension of the movement control order for two weeks on April 10, which was extended to April 28, and announced that certain areas were allowed to resume business, and Minister of Trade and Industry of Malaysia also listed 9 fields of industries that are allowed to resume business.
The 9 fields of industries and service areas include the automotive industry, machinery industry, aviation industry, construction-related projects and services, scientific, professional and technical services (including scientific research and experimental development-limited to legal-related services), social health services ( Including registered traditional medicine manufacturers-limited to those who have registered with the traditional and auxiliary medicine departments), hardware and electronics that provide wholesale and retail services, electronics and electrical appliances, optical eyewear shops, haircutting services and laundry services.
Among them, barber shops and eyewear shops have caused huge controversy within the allowed business scope.
