Good news everyone!! EPF has announce some really good news! EPF has announce higher EPF Dividend for 2017!

On last Friday, EPF has announce that they will be giving EPF divident rate of 6.9% for conventional savings (Simpanan Konvensional) for 2017 (with a payout totalling RM44.15bil) and a 6.4% dividend rate for shariah savings (Simpanan Shariah) for 2017, with a payout totalling RM3.98bil.
This has been the highest announcement rate since 1997. If you compare with the past 7 years, the highest wa sonly upto 6.75% and 2017 was an impressive year! The rate actually represent an almost 30% increase in payout compared to 2016.
“We are very pleased with the overall performance in 2017, which is also a landmark year for the EPF as we are now managing two savings schemes and declaring two dividend rates,” said EPF chairman Tan Sri Samsudin Osman.
Samsudin pointed out that the EPF, as a retirement fund, had always sought to enhance the value of its members’ savings, as seen in the declared dividend rates against Malaysia’s inflation rate.
