Cycling is Prohibited On Highways with RM2,000 Fine now
The Royal Malaysia Police Force (PDRM) has announced that Malaysian who wish to cycle on highways are strictly prohibited and those who are caught will be fined between rm300 – rm2,000. All cyclists who violate these rules will be charged under violation of Section 79(2) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

So hopefully all cycling lovers or new cyclists will be alert about this and remember the highway is not safe for cycling as the name is called high-ways, which means high-speed ways.
