A Group of Men Changed Their Noisy Exhaust at Police Station After Getting Caught
Recently the authorities have issued a law that any individual who uses ‘noisy exhaust’ will be prosecuted. A sharing on Facebook Info Roadblock JPJ / Polis, 10 individuals have modified the motorcycle exhaust to make noise. They had to change their exhaust again at the Kuala Selangor District Headquarters (IPD). They have been preparing for almost four hours. Those aged 18 to 25 have to bring a ‘standard exhaust’ for the conversion process at the IPD.
According to the Kuala Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ramli Kasa, they previously detained 12 motorcycles in the Exhaust Modification Operation around Kuala Selangor at 5pm to 8pm a few days ago.
Of the total, 10 motorcycles were found to have committed noise level testing errors on the modified exhaust conducted by the Selangor Department of Environment (DOE). “There is a man in his 20s who is willing to spend up to RM7,000 to ‘ban’ his motorcycle.”
The DOE also imposed a compound of RM 300 on the 10 individuals for failing to comply with the permitted noise limit. Road users especially motorcyclists are advised to abide by the prescribed traffic laws.
