Here is the 6 Benefits for Selangorian That You Might Not Know
If you’re born or living in Selangor, then you’re in luck. You’re might or might not know there benefits but we want to ensure that you are fully aware of it.
Let’s see how many did you know and did you miss
1. Newborn Baby Fund – RM1,500
This benefits were introduced way back in 2008 but this not many young parents are aware of this. Basically this program is a benefit where if you have a new born baby, you are entitled for RM1,500.
The requirement is simple:
- The baby must be Malaysian
- The baby is either born in or out of Selangor from 1 January 2008 onwards
- The mother OR father was born in Selangor / the mother OR father was born in Kuala Lumpur before 1 February 1974
All you need to do is to download the form and submit it to TAWAS. You will also need photocopies of their IC and MyKid/birth certificate. The application must be done before the baby turns 3 years old

- Nearby DUN service centre Office of Yayasan Anak Warisan Selangor (YAWAS)
- Online application
All children that are qualify will be receiving the payment when they are 18 years old
2. Childcare Aid Fund
This program is where you are entitled for RM100 support fee for each month if you are parents of children under 4 years old and you are sending them to childcare registered with Social Welfare Bureau.
One more point is that the parents salary income needs to be less than RM1,500 per month in order for you to qualify for this program
The payment will be sent directly to the childcare.

3. Marriage incentive
Not just on your child, but you are paid incentive when you get marry too. You are eligible to claim RM500 as your marriage incentive. This incentive doesn’t have any restriction on race or salary range and everyone is eligible to apply. The main criteria is that you must be under 35 years old when you apply for this incentive
BTW, the incentive is RM500 per person so that would be RM1,000 for a couple.

4. Skim Mesra Usia Emas
This program has been in place since 2008. This is specially dedicated for the elder people and OKU and incentive will be provided to their family once they pass away
RM2,500 will be provided to the family who apply and qualify for this incentive. There is open to apply for all with no any restriction (gender, race, economy status and etc)

5. Skim Kesihatan Wanita
This scheme is specially dedicated to woman who is above 35 years old. You will be given a free mammogram X-Ray check. You are qualify if you’re born in Selangor or you are living in Selangor (at least 10 years).

6. Peduli Sihat Scheme
Selangor is offering the Peduli Sihat scheme where you are for 2 plans.
If you are family that earn less than RM3,000 per month, you are entitled for RM700 (RM500 for a medical consultation and RM200 for medicine).
