What You Should know When Travelling In And Out of Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan
The Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, announced the conditions for Malaysians to travel to and fro Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan. Where Sabah is currently under Recovery Movement Control order (RMCO) and every individual that wishes to enter Sabah with approved PDRM letter through various transportation have to get a swab tested three days before their journey and only individuals that tested negative and do not have any symptoms are allowed to enter the states and won’t required to undergo quarantine. While for those leaving Sabah are not required to undergo swab test.
While Sarawak is under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and for those who wish to enter Sarawak will have to get swab tested and quarantined for 14 days before they can obtain approval from PDRM and the cost of f swab testing and quarantine will be borne by the state government. For non-Sarawakians on the other hand, the cost of both will be borne by themselves. While for those leaving Sarawak will not require to get swab tested.
Labuan is currently under RMCO and those wishing to visit will have to get swab-tested three days before their journey. Only individuals that tested negative and do not exhibit any symptoms will be allowed to enter the state and won’t be required to undergo quarantine. And for those leaving Labuan are not required to undergo swab test too.
