Broadband prices to drop 25% by Year End
Isn’t this fantastic news?!
Guess the government is really keeping up with the promises where earlier, our Communication and Multimedia Minister has say that the plan is to half the price double the speed for the broadband.
In today’s press conference (as according to The Star), Gobind Singh has informed that they are in commercial discussion with the telecommunication company on the pricing reducing plan and they are finalising the wholesale prices
“The process is scheduled to be concluded in July or August, after which new, lower priced broadband packages will be rolled out to consumers,” he told a press conference here on Wednesday.
The government has set a sight to improve our country’s network with the hope to match up the Internet speed with our neighbouring countries, Singapore and Thailand. The government even have plan to even exceed the Internet speed of the 2 countries.
At this moment, nothing is concrete but the promise from government is Broadband prices to drop 25% by Year End.
