What’s the new talk of the town? Has to be WeChat Pay is finally launching in Malaysia.WeChat Pay has been huge payment method in China and now it has finally reached the Malaysian’s shore. This has been done secretly and without any official announcement, the local wallet in MYR has been quietly made available to Malaysia.

In case you didn’t know, Malaysia will be the first country to receive WeChat Pay in our local currency—the ringgit, RM. Why Malaysia?

If we are to look at the Chinese population which is closest to China in terms of language and culture, we have to be the country that easily has the most in the world out of China

“Malaysia is actually quite large in the sense that we have 20 million WeChat users, huge potential, and the market is quite warm towards internet products from China,” said Tencent senior vice president SY Lau.
