Users Get 50% Discount On Electricity Bill From TNB until 31st December
The government has announced that it will extend the PRIHATIN electricity discount plan! Residents in West Malaysia will be able to enjoy a monthly discount of between 2% and 50% on electricity bills this year, depending on electricity consumption.
In the PRIHATIN electricity bill discount plan, the government announced that TNB residential users can enjoy a 2% to 50% electricity bill discount. The preferential period will start from April 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020.
- The monthly electricity consumption is less than 200Kwh (users whose monthly electricity bill is less than RM43.60): Enjoy a 50% discount.
- The monthly electricity consumption is between 201 and 300Kwh (users whose monthly electricity bill is between RM43.70 and RM77): 25% discount
- The monthly electricity consumption is between 301 and 600Kwh (users whose monthly electricity bill is between RM77.10 and RM231.80): 15% discount
- The monthly electricity consumption is between 601Kwh and 900Kwh (users whose monthly electricity bill is between RM231.90 and RM395.60): 10% discount
- The monthly electricity consumption exceeds 900Kwh (users with a monthly electricity bill of RM396.15): enjoy 2% discount
In addition, the government has previously announced that under the additional BPE, household users who consume less than 300kWh or less than RM77 per month from April to June this year will enjoy three months of free electricity charges. Household users with electricity exceeding 300kWh can enjoy a monthly electricity discount of RM77 for a period of 3 months. This discount will appear on users’ electricity bills in July and August.
