(Putrajaya 7th May 2020) Health Director Malaysia pointed out that as of 12 noon today, there were 39 new cases of Covid-19 diagnosed in Malaysia, with a total of 6,467 cases; the number of deaths remained at 107.
He said at the Ministry of Health’s routine briefing on Covid-19 epidemic that 74 people were cured and discharged, a total of 4,776 people, accounting for 73.9% of the total Covid-19 cases.
There were 19 people in the intensive care unit and 8 people needed breathing aids.
“Active cases in our country dropped to 1,584 cases.”
He said that 38 cases were local infections and 1 case was imported from abroad.
