Thousands of Tourist Spotted On Jetty to Langkawi with No Social Distancing at all
Despite the current Covid-19 cases are spiking up lately, on Langkawi’s Jetty the stories seems different where thousands of visitors including family are spotted taking vacation to Langkawi and doesn’t care much about the 1m distancing rules anymore.
Although the terminal management placed staffs and members of the Malaysian Volunteer Department (RELA) to control the situation, but the crowd becomes out of control, especially when they are at the entrance and also preparing to board the ferry.
However, according to the Human Resources and Operations Manager, Ferry line Ventures Consortium, Captain Baharin Baharom said that they have improved some Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, despite this, there are passengers that seems to forget there are still a pandemic on going and some just doesn’t care much and eagerly wanted to enjoy the upcoming holiday season.
