Earlier this year, Apple has announce that they will be providing a battery replacement program and the program will be ending by this year end.
So, if you need to replace your iPhone‘s battery, then you would really need to act fast cause now the program is finally coming to an end. Bad news is after this program end, you will have to pay more than double the price beginning 2019.
Why is there such a program?
This is because as about a year ago, many iPhone owners had experienced a significant slowdown of their smartphones due to throttling. This was a power management feature that Apple had introduced on iOS 10.2.1 to prevent sudden shutdowns caused by old or faulty batteries.
Apple has then realise this issue and they have offered a discounted battery replacement for older iPhones. This covers the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone SE.
Even better news is that this program was also extended to the newer iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X but those latest iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR are not eligible. So again, make sure you grasp this chance as the discounted battery replacement program will end on 31 December 2018.
If you’re wondering how much does the cost during this battery replacement promotion, the battery only cost RM121! It is available at Apple’s authorised service providers which include Machines and Switch
