You need to take note if you’re a Public Bank customer where starting from next year April 2019, Public Bank Will Charge Extra Fees for Card & Loan Repayments
Public Bank is one of the favourable bank that most Malaysian have account with whether it’s credit card or even loans (car and home). This would be something that you might wanna take note if you’re one of those people.
Starting from April 1, 2019, Public Bank will be charging extra fees if you are using cash or cheques to pay for your credit card bills and loan repayments!
Here is an announcement on their website made on September 30, where there will be a charge of RM2 if you perform over-the-counter transactions for credit card and loan repayments. If you’re considering using the machines Cash Deposit Terminal, Cash Recycling Machine or Cheque Deposit Machine, you might want to think twice as this will incur an additional charge of 50 sens instead of RM2.
Seems like with all these additional charges, the final aim of the bank is to move towards a cashless society and perform more of our transactions online. This leaves you no choice but to use either the standing instructions, instant or interbank transfer through internet or mobile banking and automated teller machines (ATM).
But some good news is that they are being considerable and they’ve decided to waive these fees for senior citizens, disabled people and customers who do not have access to Current or Savings account with Public Bank.
So let’s all go cashless else you would need to pay some extra charges
