Ismail Sabri announced new SOP for upcoming CNY celebration
The National Security Council has come up with new standards operating procedures for celebrating this coming Chinese New Year under the Movement Control Order (MCO). Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakoob announced the guidelines during a live press conference on 4 February.
Reunion dinners, prayers and other activities related to celebration are only allowed among members of the family living in the same house. Where everyone is barred from visiting homes of friends and family nearby. Meanwhile only five community members are allowed to attend prayers at the temple.
