Tesco Malaysia Officially Rebranded as Lotuss Stores From 15 February
The supermarket chain of Tesco Malaysia has officially changed their name to Lotuss Stores Malaysia where Lotuss Stores Malaysia is a member of Thailand’s biggest agribusiness conglomerate, Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd (CP Group). The Thai group acquired Tesco Malaysia’s business in December 2020 following the asset sale by Tesco, Britain’s biggest retailer.
The new look of Lotus’s store
The British retailer sold its entire shareholding in Tesco Stores (Thailand) Ltd and Tesco Stores Malaysia to CP Group for an enterprise value of US$10.6 billion. Based on their Facebook, the company will completely rebrand into Lotus’s stores by end of 2021. And perhaps this might be a good news where we might be able to spot some Thailand produce or product coming in later?
