The biggest marathon event is coming to town. It’s time again for the Standard Chartered Marathon!
In order for you not to stuck in jamming, pay attention to this and avoid these roads at all costs.
This year will be the 10th installment for Standard Chartered marathon and the marathon will be taking place this Sunday (8th April 2018) and there are plenty of road closure for this event.
There are expected more then 40k people (including participant and those look look see see) and reported that there are 25 major city roads in KL has been listed for closure due to the marathon
The roads will be closed simultaneously from 3am until noon on Sunday.
The lists road closure includes Jalan Kuching from Selayang, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim (Jalan Duta), Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz around Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Raja Abdullah around Kampung Baru, Jalan Langgak Tunku, Jalan Bukit Tunku, Jalan Tunku, Jalan Tun Ismail, Jalan Dato Onn and Jalan Sultan Sallehudin.
It’s being advice by the Kuala Lumpur police chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Mazlan Mansor on Malay Mail Online that motorists to park their vehicles further from the city centre to avoid adding to the expected congestion.
It would be best if you opt to use the public transportation services that will operate from 2am onwards during the marathon. So, if you got nothing to do, try to avoid those roads if your’re going to KL or better yet, stay away from KL on Sunday.
