As per reported by the FMT, our beloved Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has announced that the sales and services tax (SST) will be passed in Parliament by next month and is expected to be introduce by September 2018.
The rate will be set at 10% for sales and 6% for services, with the bill on the tax expected to be passed in Parliament next month.
So if you want to buy something, you better buy it now else you will need to pay the SST tax already by September as the tax free holiday is almost over.
