After making fun of Apple on its iPhone 12 being sold without a charger, Xiaomi and Samsung are following these steps as a part of the cost-saving process and limited the impact on the environment. Where the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 and Samsung Galaxy S21 will be sold without chargers.
This first smartphone maker to follow Apple’s footsteps, Xiaomi where they have confirmed on the rumor that the next Mi 11 will be sold in a thinner and lighter package without a charging cable. While the South Korean giant Samsung are also confirming that they will embark this trend on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 too.
This movement of trend was primarily motivated by environment concerns as a loyal customer can reuse their old charger with their most recent phones while the new user will be able to buy charges and accessories easily. This way, it can not only save money for the brand but the user as well. Plus, with a lighter and smaller packaging, where the production cost can be saved during shipping cost.
