ShopeePay now Supports DuitNow QR code Which is also the First eCommerce Platform to Support the National QR Standard
Shopee Malaysia has announced that their Shopee Pay Wallet now supports the National QR Standards of DuitNow QR which is managed by the PayNet. As with this latest unified QR platform system, all users of the participating platforms can make payments or transfer funds across different platforms just by scanning a single DuitNow QR code.
Which this would eliminate the need of displaying different QR codes and they can just use one DuitNow QR code also to accept payments from participating banks and eWallets. While on the Shopee app, now user can use their mobile wallet to make payments to the physical store just by display the DuitNow QR code, and soon, all users will be able to seamlessly top up their wallet with instant funds transfer service which will be introduced in June 2021.
As a part of the current promotions for this DuitNow QR, all Shopee users can get a cashback of RM5 with a minimum spend of Rm15 in a single transaction via DuitNow QR, and this promotion will be available from 15 December – 31 January 2021. While currently there will be 21 participating merchants that have a total of 518 outlets nationwide. Other than this, there will be RM1 hand sanitizers from Sunway Pharmacy and Rm2 Black Whale Mini Whale Milk Tea offers for this list of ShopeePay Cashback promotions also.
The DuitNow ecosystem currently covers 14 banks which are Alliance Bank, AmBank, Bank Muamalat, Bank of China, CIMB, Citibank, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC, ICBC, Maybank, Public Bank, RHB, Standard Chartered, and UOB.
