Rm300 Assistance For Single Mother, Available Until 31st October
Prime Minister Muhyiddin announced that the government will provide assist to single mother with a one-time allowance of RM300, and last month, the Ministry of Woman, Family and Social Development opened the way for single mother to apply for rm300 assistance.
Howevery, the allowance ended last month, but now the Deputy Minister of Woman, Family and Social Developed stated that single mothers whos has failed or rejected applicant earlier can now re-appeal again until 31 October.
People want to appeal, and can go through the Women, Family and Social Development Ministry’s official website or visit the department to appeal.
The categories of single mothers are:
- Widows are either divorced or separated and have unmarried children in the same family;
- Have a husband (her husband is unwell and unable to work) and has unmarried children in the same family; or
- Never married but have children (adopted or born out of wedlock)
According to a statement from the Ministry of Women and Family, only single mothers whose monthly income is below the poverty line meet the criteria. According to the latest poverty level Pendapatan Garis Kemiskinan PSK is RM960.
The requirements for single mother RM300 assistance are:
- Malaysian citizens
- Single mother is the head of the family (please check the chart above)
- Family income below the poverty level (PGK) RM960 or RM244 perkapita
