Computer and tablet can have tax deduction this year
If you have purchased a mobile phone, tablet or computer from January 1 to December 31, 2021, you will get the corresponding amount of tax deduction when you file your tax return next year, up to a maximum of RM2500. It is worth noting that in the Lifestyle tax deduction items, there are also RM2500 tax deductions for purchasing mobile phones, tablets, computers and other items. This means you can get a tax deduction of RM2500 + RM2500.
If you buy a new mobile phone and a new computer this year, then you can get a tax deduction of RM2500 for each of the two tax deduction items.
