Rina Harun Announced that A Compulsory Course for Married Couple May Soon Be Executed
The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) is currently on the verge of introducing a specific course for married couples in a move to strengthen family institutions in the country. The minister also said that on previously only pre-mariage course are required for the potential brides and grooms amongst Muslim to get married. However, she suggests that these course after marriage in order to seriously strengthen the marriage are important to teach parenting skill to them.
Rina Harun then said that her ministry is now considering whether to make the post-marriage courses compulsory for all races in the country. She was quoted by reporters regarding this new married couples course during the opening ceremony of the Women’s Empowerment Programme yesterday (6 March 2021) held in conjunction with International Women’s Day at Tanjung Pelepas Port, Gelang Patah. She also mentioned that she is currently working closely with private sector to create 10,000 over more jobs especially for women.
