Penang Plans to Build the Largest Foreign Worker’s Dorm
The Penang local government committee chairman, Jagdeep Singh Deo mentioned that the state’s is planning to build the project of the biggest dormitory with 35,000 beds in Penang where it will feature a 2,100 rooms on the 4ha of lands here in Teluk Kumbat, Penang.
Currently, Penang has 2 foreign workers’m dormitories in operation which is Bukit Minyak and Batu Maung. This operation will help to sustain the economy where workers have a place to stay and instead of they’re living in various housing schemes among locals.
