Just take note if you’re travelling to Penang that the Penang Bridge is Closing in Phases Until 30th August
This closure is to accommodate the the routine inspection and maintenance work under the Penang Bridge.
The closure is only to the slow lane at several locations along the Penang Bridge until Aug 30 and it will be conducted between 11 am and 3 pm daily except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
The highway PLUS has said that this inspection and maintenance work routine is nothing related to the scheduled Penang Bridge cable inspection and maintenance work which was completed on July 31.
