The experts said that currently the economy is bad for the current times but clearly it is not the case for everyone. While most of us are keeping whatever extra incomes for a rainy day, however a 30-year-old woman from Kelantan is spending big bucks on a tudung which is RM75,000 for the specially custom design item. The boutique founder and owner Haliza Mahsuri said it was completed much earlier but it was on hold earlier due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The design was designed by Megan Carter who is an expert with over 30 years of experience attached with Swarovski in Austria and these custom-made shawls usually will take up to three months to complete. However, this isn’t Bawal’s most expensive custom-made order though, where they have previously sold a tudung for RM100,000.
