New Year’s Eve Fireworks Countdown Cancelled at 4 Common Spot
As The New Year eve is just around the corner, but due to the current pandemic, if you all were looking for a spot to countdown or enjoy the display of fireworks, you be disappointed but for everyone safety, it will be best to celebrate it at home. Here are some of the usual spot of firework display which has been cancelled.
Dataran Merdeka
Dataran Merdeka is the famous ground to host thousands of Malaysian show when it comes to celebrate the closing of the year, but instead of the display show is being off, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has run a virtual event on New Year Eve’s with performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra and local Malaysian artist show themed as WargaKota Terus Bertahan and also virtual Konsert Ambang 2021 will be livestreamed on DBKL’s official Facebook page and Bapakku FM at 10pm on the 31st of December 2020.
Resort World Genting
Resort World Genting which is also another popular countdown spot over the year due to the weather there, however the resort has decided to cancel the fireworks display in order to create an environment which is safer to all visitor, employees and business partners.
The Curve
For folks staying in Petaling Jaya, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara has been running one of the biggest fireworks display for 14 years, but this year it has been called off as The Curves also mentioned that everyone safety is the main priority now.
IPC Shopping Centre
MDCC which owns the IPC Shopping Centre which is also located around the corner of The Curve, will be canceling their countdown and firework display event too.
