New Rules For those Flouting and Violating SOP on MCO can be Fined up to RM10K starting 11 Mar
There will be an even stricter rule for those who are flouting the sop of MCO with hefty fines of RM10,000 starting from 11 March onwards. This new rules which applies on Section 25 of the Emergency Ordinance now reads, “The director-general or any authorised officer, may … compound any offence under this Act or any regulations under this Act …(a) in the case of a person who is an individual, a sum of money not exceeding ten thousand ringgit. (b) in the case of a body corporate, a sum of money not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit.”
This section 24 states also apply for who commit an offence under the Act can be liable to a fine up to RM100,000, imprisonment for a maximum of seven years, or both. So take notes guys!~
