Myvi Collides With Speeding Ambulance and Even Knocks it Over in Melaka

An accident took place at the traffic light junction in Taman Bertam Impian, Melaka at 7.30 pm on 1st February where one ambulance was rushing from the director of Cheng and heading towards Sungai Udang where it ran a red light at the junction while at the same time, the Perodua Myvi driver which was coming from a different direction collided with the ambulance which cause both card to lost control and the ambulance even flipped over.
The myvi driver is a 35 years old nurse while the ambulance driver is a 51 years old and both of them did not sustain any injuries while the Central Melaka district police chief ACP Afzanizar Ahmad revealed the accident happened amidst an emergency response and that the ambulance had its siren turned on. The case is being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving where the offender could face up to 12 months of jail and a RM10,000 fine. The investigation is still ongoing and the vehicles have been sent to a Puspakom centre and the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) for further inspection.
