M’sian Pilot Who Used To Earn RM600/Day Now Work As FoodPanda Rider To Support Family
For an ex-pilot, Anwar Ajib, who were being laid off during the midst of a global crisis as most of the industry related to airplane operations come to a grinding halt and layoffs as well as bankruptcies becomes very imminent.
Sharing his story over his Facebook, where he was previously working as a pilot over 10 years in aviation industries somehow come to an end with the current pandemic period and with his earlier incomes of rm600 daily where now he with a wife and 8 years-old daughters depending on him he realized that he has no other choice but to find an alternative way to make a living again.
Despite sending out a resume to a number of companies, he has still not received anything from them in April and finds them difficult to able in investment too so, therefore, he switches the idea and becomes a FoodPanda rider instead.
Anwar also shared that working with the Foodpanda delivery rider, he found that the company operating policies were pretty similar to the airline industry and they are having the On-time performance (OTP) which if someone unable to complete and order to unforeseen circumstances, another rider will be right there to take up the place. From earning of rm600 range per day and now he earns about rm50 – 70 per day. Well, this is indeed a dedication and determination as a father and man who never give up.
