As the year 2020 has been rough for everyone where there is lockdowns, economic slowdown and not to mentions the mental stress everyone is having, however, there are some who still manage to survive this weird year with some achievements. Where one Malaysian in particular captured the attention of his fellow netizen for not only runs a successful business but also helping to satisfied Klang Valley’s craving fro the IKEA Swedish meal during the long Movement Control Order (MCO) period.
On a viral Twitter thread showcase a Malaysian and their achievements for 2020 where Joe from Cheras in Kuala Lumpur where he shared his experience of managing a small business of delivery IKEA Restaurant food items for the customer during the MCO time.
In his post, Joe explains that how he set up a personal shopper business by delivery IKEA speciality items such as their famous meatballs, chicken wings and those delicious curry puff and other snacks between the month of March and May whereby making up to 100 delivers in a day which he soon turned into a team job as orders started to pile up.
Joe also mentioned that when the Covid-19 pandemic begins, he forced the temporarily close down his online business on Shopee and turn his short term delivery service employing some of his friends and social media followers to share the bounty and he and his team of 10 people have collected more than RM30,000 in earnings throughout the business before returning to their normal lives as MCO restriction get loose in the end. Joe said he is thankful to be able to provide for himself and his colleagues during the Covid-19 lockdown.
