M’sia Preschooler Primary Students returns to Classroom in March, Secondary Student in April
The Malaysian students are expected to be back in school under the normal from the beginning of March after announcement made by Senior Minister (Education) Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin on 19 February. Radzi explained that the preschooler and those in standard 1 and 2 will resume in classes starting 1st March while the Standard 3 to 6 will resume on 8 March.
As for secondary school under Group A, which included of Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu they will commence on April 4 onwards. While the category under Group B will begin on April 5. While private school are also expected to follow the same dates which are scheduled to start from 8th March onwards. While for vocational college students which are attending diploma and certificate course for Year 1, semester 2, they are due to return to their institutions from March 1.
Standard 1 and 2 students who will be back in class a week before other primary school students, Radzi explained that this is to allow teachers to help students get accustomed to the new standard operating procedures (SOP) as well as give space to teachers and parents to discuss best practices on how to manage the children until the end of the school session.
And for those who are making way for the Sijil Peperiksaan Malaysia (SPM) students will sit for their exam on February 22.
