MOH Urge All Malaysian to STOP USING HAND for Temperature Scan, Use Your HEAD Instead

According to Harian Metro, the Health Director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah mentioned that the ministry is discouraging people from taking their temperature as a part of the SOP by using their hand instead of the head. As he mentioned that the most accurate body temperature ready are obtained from scanning the forehead, where a person’s clinical body temperature is measured at the forehead, ears, mouth, armpit or rectum, never on a palm or hand.

As these accurate temperature measurement are very vital to avoid the spread of the virus and safe-keeping everyone from the current pandemic. As the normal human body temperature varies from 36.5°C to 37.5°C, any temperature higher would be considered a fever.

As Noor Hisham also mentioned that there is no side effects of scanning the forehead with infrared light but practicing a proper temperature taken is very crucial steps! So remember to scan using your head! not your hand! Please!
