With the electricity bill getting higher, one Malaysian man has decided to show how he manage to keep his bill at RM70 only desite living in a double story house equipped with 6 air conditioning units. In his Facebook post, Fawazz Johari explain that his double storey house in Melaka is fitted with TNB smart meter in February 2019 as his house electricity bill was only RM62.30. The impressive thing about his house where it has four bedrooms, which each room equipped with air conditioning unit and two more unit in the living room. So how does Fawazz manage to keep his electricity bill so low.

All the air conditioner and refrigerators in the house are equipped with this inverter technology, and it will be pricier than regular appliances however it helps in long run as the electricity saving for a long time.
Only use 5-star electrical appliances
5 star rating appliances has better power saving
Electrical appliances in Malaysia where it usually comes with a star rating from one to five as issued by the Malaysian Energy Commission which denoted the energy efficiency of an electrical product.
Do not use electrical heating appliances
Use only gas heater instead of electrical heater
His house does not use electrical heater such as rice cooker, electric kettle and water dispenser but instead using gas stove to cook rice and boil the water instead. Where the only heating appliances in the house are clothing iron and water heater to shower only.
Use only LED Lights
Only use LED bulb for better power usage
All the lights in the house are LED Lights as Fawazz said that it can reduce electricity consumption up to 75% compared to normal lights.
Unplug all electrical appliances not in use

Fawazz shared that he switches off and unplugs all his electrical appliances after watching TV, charging phones or using the washing machine. Where he mentioned that houses that practice this usually have a lower electricity bill with reduction range from between Rm15-50.
Use a Turbine Ventilator on the Roof
Install a turbine ventilator on the roof for better cooling
To keep the house cool, Fawazz has installed a turbine ventilator on the roof to allow hot air trapped inside the roof to escape.

Fawazz also greatly credit his mother gardening habits as it manage to keep the house cool as trees are known to keeping the air cool.

Fawazz also shared that by using the less energy to cool down the room to desired temperature it will cause the air condition to work less hard.
