MCMC To Give Faster And Cheaper Broadband By Next Year
Many people are envy of our neighbour country (Singapore), how come they have faster broadband with cheaper price?
Worry not as MCMC has promised a better broadband package (cheaper la) with faster speed.
Now you’re talking!! Been waiting for ages for this.
According to the New Straits Times, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is prepared to slash broadband charges by half and double the speed in 2019.
At this moment, the MCMC is working it out with the licensed owners and service providers and hopefully this implementation can be done new system on fixed broadbands.
Good news is that the plan is not only to the major cities but it will including the rural areas but of course the plan will kick off with major cities first.
So what’s the difference with this new implementation?
The major difference is Malaysians will be able to subscribe to the speed of 100 megabit per second for as low as RM179 and RM189, compared to RM299 before.
For now, let’s hope that this project can implement earlier and we can enjoy with the better internet speed and keep up with our neighbor.
